Ed Hogan’s business philosophy has remained firm since he founded New Visions Group 15 years ago.

“We do the best work we can for our clients every day, and then we take that work a step further to surpass their expectations.  That kind of extra effort is what I based the business on when we started, and it’s still our focus today,” Ed explains.

Ed’s unique ability to build long-term collaboration, bridge gaps by using his reputation and relationships to build connections and create new partnerships has established him as a respected and sought-after expert in state and local government relations.  His work on regulatory, legislative and executive procedures, laws and rule-making has left an impressive mark on government entities throughout Ohio spanning the last 25 years.

Ed sums up his core belief by saying, “It’s one thing to have a long list of contracts, but knowing how to link people is key.”  And linking clients with the right organizations and individuals to generate mutually beneficial results is a hallmark of New Visions Group.

Today, New Visions Group works with a diverse but select group of clients providing them with direct lobbying, community relations, multicultural affairs, grassroots mobilization or a combination of disciplines tailored to achieve each client’s specific goals.

Ed recognizes the need to educate more African American young people about careers in lobbying.  He is actively involved in a mentoring program in which he is expanding his role to include government affairs because, he says, “In the political process, if you aren’t a player, you risk becoming a victim.”

The need to pay forward and to give back to the community are key driving factors in Ed’s life as well as for his business.  In addition to the many commendations and awards Ed has received for his work and his community involvement, he has served on a variety of community boards and volunteered his time and resources to a diverse group of organizations including Maryhaven, Inc., Alvis House, Ballet Met and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

In keeping with the priority Ed places on community involvement, he believes his greatest and most rewarding accomplishment is adopting an elementary school and receiving the Golden Rule Award from Columbus Public Schools.

Ed resides in Columbus with his wife, Tish and two granddaughters.  He relaxes by enjoying the outdoors and making time to go boating and camping with family and friends.
